Jim Plante

James Plante is the Founder and CEO of Pathway Genomics. He has long had a keen interest in both the areas of technology and medicine. He started out at a young age, working for his father in his medical technologies business. Working with his dad fueled a passion in Plante which ended up spurring him to get his BS in Electrical Engineering from Southern Illinois University. In his career, he has started 4 different tech companies with full Venture Capital backing. He then used those companies to introduce a dozen new products and services for consumer purchase, in the automotive industry, service providers, and innovations in the wireless arena.

When James' father died from polycystic kidney disease complications, James started working more in the area of preventative health services. From that work, he started Pathway Genomics in 2008. His vision for the company is to make more affordable, all the needed genetic testing and customized prescriptions individuals require as medical patients in the U.S. His medical interests have grown right along with his company, leading to even further innovations.

Together with his top management team and other Board of Directors members, Plante has built a company that Inc. Magazine has called on of the fastest growing companies in America. The company's headquarters is located in San Diego, California. His team's openness to true innovation, to experimenting with better ways to do things, and the dedication they bring to the work is what is making Pathway Genomics the leader in commercial healthcare.
